Slinker

We've been adopted.

Slinker likes our yard. He commonly takes up residence under the canoe by the shed. It offers a lovely view of the pine siskins as they feed and provides shade and shelter for him.
I've no idea if he's a stray or someone's pet or even what his name is, if he has one bestowed by humans. He seems quite friendly, though, and makes every attempt to get a tummy rub.
I decided he ought to have a name and Slinker seemed to fit.

What a cute cat! Glad he adopted you and hope he takes his responsibilities seriously. Having humans is no easy task but he looks up to the challenge.

He's looks gorgeous. We adopted a stray that we called Squeak McTodd who looked similar and had him for many years. He's obviously been a pet at some stage to be so friendly. Was he skinny, as if he'd been down on his luck for awhile, or do you think he's just cruising the neighbourhood for extra handouts?

You're so right, Crabby. Humans can be difficult.

Hello, Bunnygirl. Yes, Slinker is a sweetheart.

Dawn, I think Slinker actually is someone's pet and he just goes out roaming. He's in good condition and I don't think he's suffering for food or attention.

What a cute kitty. I think some cats need more love than one family can provide to they keep two. I think that is nice, you have a polygamists cat!

Hi Samantha,

I never thought of it that way. I'm sure that's exactly it. Slinker the Polygamist Puss.
