Two Much Snow Tuesday

The snow hit yesterday and it meant business. We usually have a snowstorm at or near the May long weekend. I sure hope this is it until, say, next month.

Twofer Tuesday again and I can’t say as I got much writing done. Not a lot of leisure reading either, though I managed a bit on the deck the other day before the snow hit.
More from Delusions of Grandma by Carrie Fisher (Simon & Schuster, 1994): “Once during this whole episode Ray gave her a bath. That really got to her.”

I did string a few sentences together, so here they be.
From A Fly on the Wall:
“The two women conferred in the hallway. Neither wanted to take the chance of being overheard by the hamster.”
For more, or to find out how to participate, please see the Women of Mystery.

Leah,

I got to say that I don't envy you when it comes to May snow storms. Now we're not done with winter yet here in NY. Woke up this morning to 33 degrees and frost on the windshield.

Tom, that doesn't sound very pleasant at all. Hope the weather smartens up soon.

dfLeah - we are now on the receiving end of that snow storm. Don't have quite as much as you.... YET! It's still coming down hard enough that I can barely see the end of the driveway.

Love your sentences this week!

df Bag Lady, I'm sure you'll catch up to our snow level soon.
Glad you like my efforts this week.

"... overheard by the hamster" has me smiling and wanting to learn more. Damn these twofers. We need to extend to tres or cuatro!

Just strung together a few, but you made them count! Love what it makes me imagine.

David, glad I've piqued your curiosity. I cheated last week and threw in a few more sentences. I may do it again soon.

Clare2e, thanks. I'm curious as to what you've imagined.

Friggin A! Loved this. Just the mere idea that humans would worry about a hamster overhearing a conversation is more than enough to make me read more wherever it takes me. Same time next week?

Wow, that's a lot of snow for May. Hope it's the last storm of the season. Loved your sentences about the hamster. :)

Scott, your enthusiasm for my words gave me a huge smile. Glad to know you're intrigued.

Hello Linda, thanks. Yes, we've been more than blessed with the white stuff.

Well, we lucked out on the snow, it is mostly ice crystals and turning to rain. Mind you the day isn't over yet.

Love the idea of not wanting the hamster to overhear.

Leah J. Utas said...

Reb, rain is leaps and bounds better than the mess we've been dealt.

The hamster is pleased.

You Westerners can just hang on to that snow until it melts, please. I don't want to see another flake until November.

Thank you. :)

By the way, wise move on your characters' parts to avoid the hamster's ears. Terrible gossips, rodents are.

Frank, we'd be more than happy to share our good fortune of snow. Take all you want.

Thanks for understanding. You can't turn your back on a hamster.

lol, I love your "overheard by the hamster" line. That's great! :-D

And look at all that... snow! *whew*, and I thought our East TN "blackberry winter" was chilly.

Leah J. Utas said...

Thomma Lyn, thanks. It's good to have my words appreciated.

I realy hope that's it for snow.

Your eavesdropping hamster totally cracked me up.

Oh but that snow.. yeeeeeuck! Like Frank, I really don't want to endure another flake for at least 6 months.. except for Frank himself, of course. ;)

Leah J. Utas said...

Glad you got a laugh, Hilary.

LOL about Frank.

Isn't that just like Alberta to have a snow dump on the Victoria long weekend.

'...overheard by the hamster.' Very intriguing that phrase. All creatures have the ability to use their vibrational energy for their purposes.

I wouldn't feel right about summer without it, Barbara.

Glad you're intrigued.
