Photo-Finish Friday -- Jonesie

NB:
Cancer affects all of us whether we're able to admit it or not.
It's LIVESTRONG day in the United States, the 10th anniversary of Lance Armstrong's cancer diagnosis. A blogger buddy of The Bag Lady is asking people to tell their stories of how cancer has affected their lives. Please check out POD.

Why, yes. I am cute. Thanks for noticing.

This is Jonesie. He showed up on our back porch one day a few weeks ago and acted like he owned the place. I gave him his name because he's been Jonesing to get in our house from the very first moment he set paw on the place.
Until now.
We put the quilt out to take the air yesterday. About an hour later I went into the kitchen and saw what I thought was bird on it.
Instead, it was ears.
The above pussycat knew we clearly put it out for him. He made one token effort to get in the house, and then went back to his down-lined nest.
Since then he's barely twitched a whisker.

Sometimes, you just find you have been preempted and adopted, all in one.

Congratulations on now being owned by one very special cat!

Hello Messymimi, thanks. Not much we can do as my husband is allergic to kitties.
He's clean and obviously well-fed so he has a home. I think we're just his getaway place.

Every cat needs a vacation spot! He obviously knows where the best ones are!

Thanks for linking to the LIVESTRONG on-line event!

I suppose every cat does, df Bag Lady.

Happy to link.

He knows there is someone in the house with allergies, that is why he wants in so badly! Love the photo.

Thanks, Reb. Yeah, he knows.

Cats tend to adopt people, even those with allergies.

I like cats but am severely allergic. Though I prefer having birds to a cat.

Sorry to hear about your allergies. How many birds do you have?

Awww, so cute that you put the quilt out for Jonesie! I'm sure he appreciates it. :-D What a beautiful kitty he is!

Thomma Lyn, yes he sure did. He had quite the nap on it. Up until then he'd hardly been still for a moment.
He is a sleek, magnificent puss.

I suspect that you enjoy his visits as much as he does. Cats are wise and perceptive that way. Great photo. :)

Hilary, it's a treat to have pussycat visit.
Glad you like the pic.
