Gratitude Monday -- Putting the Yellow in Yellowstone

I'm grateful for the trip to Yellowstone, and for being able to take as many pictures as I did. I could have taken more and maybe another time I will.
This is the petrifed tree. It's by itself on a hill and it's fenced off to keep it safe.
I can see a distinct "Sam the Eagle" face in it which was brought out even more by using the color extraction filter. I'm grateful for the chance to play with those filters, too.

Yup, I see Sam the Eagle, too. Very cool.
Sad that the other trees were destroyed, though.

Trip to Yellowstone is on my "Things I Need to DO" list!
I can only imagine the sites you would be able to capture!
Thanks for another great shot.
Enjoy another (ahem...rainy) day)
:)

Laurita, thanks. I'm glad it's not just me.

dfBag Lady, thanks. Glad you can see him, too. It is sad, but it's all a part of life.

Crabby, it's so good to see you. Thanks. I'm happy you like them.

Dawn, I know you'll enjoy a trip to Yellowstone. Glad you like the pic.
I do wish the rain would hold off until the harvest is done.

Yes! I can see it (but then I am easily influenced.)

I can see three different faces: an eagle-ish one, a horse, and a sorta human.

I'm burning some very weathered wood for the first fire of the season. Must look closely.

Yellowstone was a lifetime ago for me, and the children haven't been. You have put the bug in me, thanks.

Bossy Betty, you? Influenced?

I tend to see faces in wood, Solarity. I can't see the horse or the human, though.

Messymimi, I hope they get to see it.

The last time we were at Yellowstone was during our vacation a few years ago. We haven't been there since but we are planning too. I just have to convince my sons to come along with us. LOL

David, I sure hope you get there. I think you'll really enjoy it.

Thanks, Reb. Does it show that I'm having fun?

Thanks so much, Nancy.

Hello Catherine Lee, I'm glad to see you here. It's well worth the second visit.

I can see the eagle and without half-squinting I can add an owl and bear.

What a great tree! Thanks, Leah.

Oh THAT Sam the eagle.. yes, I see him. And a chicken, and human profile and a troll. In fact I see so much in it that I'm scared. Petrified, even. ;)

Leah J. Utas said...

Frank, good for you. I can only see the eagle. It's good to know you appreciate them, too.

Hilary, LOL. And great eyes and mind to see all that.
