Gratitude Monday -- No Place I'd Rather Be

I'm grateful for DVDs. I like recording shows for later. I can zip through commercials or stop when convenient to me, or see another scene again or hear a bit of dialogue I may have missed.
I am further grateful for shows available for purchase. I can watch favourites like the above time and again.
And yeah, I am very grateful for Firefly.
A space western. Best combo ever.
What about you? Got a favourite you watch again and again?

I almost forget what it's like to watch a show with commercials. I love my PVR. You're very good at thinking of all the little things we usually take for granted.

I don't even bother with TV, I just go to the library and get the full seasons of the shows I like on DVD. I'm a year behind everyone else but who cares? It's free! :)

My kids and I keep going back and watching the last four seasons of Doctor Who! I've seen them all three times! :)

DVDs are totally awesome! :)

Laurita, I haven't ventured into PVR land yet. Thanks.

Book Nut, good for you. I'm not sure I'd have the patience to wait a year even though it is free.

I'm afraid I don't watch much of anything anymore. Too busy reading.... or cruising around on the web. But I am grateful for the ability to do both of those! :)

I never thought about watching a space/western...I think that is now on my list to get for this winter watching!
Yes.....There is no Place I'd rather be...then in this day and age of "ease-ability":)

Hope you had a wonderful weekend Leah.

A space western, eh? Wow. I never get tired of Fraiser DVD's. It's sort of an addiction.

While i gave up watching tv over 190 years ago, i am grateful beyond measure for my radio.

Bag Lady, browsing and reading take up time, too, but I'm glad for TV.

Dawn, Firefly is a classic. If you're a Joss Whedon fan it's a must-see.

Frasier was very well written, Bossy Betty. No wonder you never tire.

Messymimi, you gave up TV? Go you!

I love Firefly and if I had it I would watch it over and over. My friend has it, so I can borrow it though :) Farside is another that deserves to be watched over and over.

I'm glad you've got it available, Reb.
Not familiar with the other one.

I don't have the patience to watch something more than once. I often can't make it through a single showing, walk away, leave it running, and come back later. Could be ADHD.

Leah J. Utas said...

Ron, it sounds like TV isn't your thing.

I can't say that there's anything I'll watch over and over again, though there are plenty of old TV sitcoms I'll watch if I haven't seen the episode TOO often.

Leah, I watched the FIREFLY series three times and the film SERENITY twice. Damn, I wish that had lasted longer. I have not watched CASTLE because Fillion is still Malcolm Reynolds to me.

Leah J. Utas said...

David, me, too. I may never forgive Fox. I watch Castle and like it. But yeah, he'll always be Captain Mal to me, too.

Firefly is one of mine. Definitely.

It and Doctor Who are what keep coming back as favourites on cold winter nights. Lately Torchwood has been sneaking in there too...

Hi Geosomin, always good to meet another Firefly fan.
I've only seen David Tennant as the Doctor, but I did love the show.
