Gratitude Monday -- Another Day

Crescent Falls in the spring.
It's another day. Possibly like any other day.
Possibly not.
And that's the beauty of it.
No matter what else the day turns out to be, it is another day and that is reason enough to be thankful.

No day is exactly like any other--another thing to be thankful for.
Beautiful, beautiful water.

Thinking of Monday as a day like any other day is something I look forward to in retirement. For so long it has meant going back to the routine of work.

"After all," Anne had said to Marilla once, "I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string."

Messymimi, thank you for the quote. I was thinking of Anne as I wrote this. I totally agree with the sentiment.
I often think about her new day "with no mistakes in it."
