Gratitude Monday -- Sleepy Sheep

We went for a walk in the mountains yesterday and came upon a flock of sheep taking a sun nap on a mountainside.
It was a wonderful find. We carefully skirted around them so as not to disturb them.
I'm grateful for the walk, the day, and the sleepy sheep.

Did they have to count people before their nap?

Thanks for laughing, Carla.

Dawn, it was wonderful. Great day for it, and it was so cool to see sheep on the mountainside rather than along the highway.

What a treat to see along your way! I am sure they appreciated your kindness at not waking them from their naps.

Carumba!

I would have watched them for hours. Impressive!

Mary Anne, it can be tough on the nerves to drive through sheep.

Betty, it was a treat.

David, it was a peaceful, wonderful sight.

We supposedly have borregos here in the socal deserts, but I've never seen one. You found a handsome bunch there. And not too shy about having their pic taken. I'm impressed.

Messymimi, it was very relaxing.

Reb, it was a good sized flock.

Ron, they were a bit wary, but they were more sleepy. It was a warm afternoon. I would have liked to snooze on a hillside, too.

Lovely image reflecting a lovely walk. Golly, they have big horns. You wouldn't want to annoy one of them!

No I sure wouldn't, Dawn. I was remiss, I should have said these sheep are called Bighorn Sheep.
