The shoring they do in these buildings scare the crap out of me. I saw a lot of 'tree branches' used in Cameroon and Belize just like your picture here. I guess it works for them.

I really like this capture Leah! It always amazes me how things are constructed in other places. It seems the "safety measures" and codes we have here, are not the norm anywhere else. I can only imagine what the Safety Board would do at construction sites.... It does make you wonder if we are a tad bit overboard in our regulations. But I for one would wear a hard hat;)
Very nice picture.
Have a great weekend.

David, it was the scaffolding in this that drew my attention. Makes me wonder about all the buildings I was in, but they are standing.

Dawn, thanks. It fascinates me, too.
Hope your have a great weekend, too.

Amazing the way some workers have to carry out their jobs. The tools that our builders have put theirs to shame yet our guys still moan about conditions etc. Great photo, Leah!

Great shot, cousin. It certainly does make you think twice about construction practices in other countries.

Wow! Great picture! I think I would have stopped and watched these guys for a while.

David, I was thinking something similar. We complain, but we have it waaaay better. Thanks.

Bossy Betty, I would have loved to watch them, but we had tour things to do.

That's fantastic. Gives a whole new meaning to the term "stick built" doesn't it?

My first thought was the same as the others -- what would OSHA or its Canadian equivalent say?

Great pic, though.

Chris, oh, yeah.

Messymimi, those organizations would be horrified. Thanks.

It does look a bit scary. Great capture though.

Thanks, Reb. I agree about the scary.
