Beautiful place to live, Leah. Happy New Year! Missed last weeks. Was out of action with a dodgy back. Turns out I'd slipped a disc in my lower back/pelvis. Had it popped back in this Tuesday by a fantastic osteopath/physio, and I'm like a new man!!

Have a great weekend!

It looks so peaceful. And green.

Thanks, Cousin. Summer of 2009, I think.

David, thanks so much. It's where I grew up. Sorry to hear about your back. Glad you're better.

It was a peaceful, sleepy place.

Makes me realize how eager I am for summer again. Only 5 months and counting!

It's just a little place in the middle of the forest. Funny it doesn't seem that way when you are there. Nice shot.

Chris, it made me miss it, too.

Reb, good description. And you are right.

Great photo and lovely spot. What a tremendous history behind it.

I love the glimpse of town through the trees. (And the green, especially after driving home from work through fine blowing snow that was imitating fog very well.)

Crabby, my pleasure.

Red, how is it you know its history?

Thanks, Mary Anne. It's always how I see it in my mind.
