Winter 2012

Crimson Lake, Ab.

It's supposed to be winter.
Frankly, I'm a little disappointed.

To be totally and completely honest? I am not minding this winter at all. Since I am not a fan of the bitter cold, mountains of snow and frostbite that ordinarily accompanies winter here, I am finding absolutely nothing to complain about. (the freezing rain and resulting ice are not wonderful, but I am not complaining.)

Well, it's a beautiful photo even without huge piles of white stuff around.

Enjoy the mild winter, weird as it is!

Yeah, BL, I'm weird that way. I totally get why you wouldn't like the cold as you have to be out in it.

Crabby, thanks so much. I'll still enjoy it, but I know we'll be paying later.

It looks far more wintery there than here.. and beautiful.

A mild winter once in a while might be an interesting thing, even though you wouldn't want it as a steady diet, so to speak.

Beautiful photo, too.

Thanks, Hilary.

Messymimi, thanks. I want normal weather now so we can have normal weather later.

Looks like winter to me. Snow on the ice , green of evergreens. Great shot. I still have enough snow to cross country ski at Red Deer.

Thanks, Red. We have some snow, but it is nowhere near as it should be.

Lovely Chinook arch. I too wish it were a bit closer to a normal winter, but, I really can't complain ;) I am worried though what the rest of winter will get up to.

Thanks, Reb. It worries me, too.
