Photo-Finish Friday -- A Common Scene

If you ever want to see mountain sheep come to the West County.
We usually see them in a spot along Abraham Lake, but like this fine fellow, they can be anywhere in the mountains along Highway 11.
Sheep like the company of their own kind. There's another one a bit lower on curve and behind the fence.

Brave critters, to take their chances on the highway! They are probably definitely safer clinging to the side of a mountain!

That would be such a kick for this city-raised girl to see.

Bag Lady, I think they come down for the salt.
Hilary, I hope you get the chance some day soon.

Leah, I think you are right about the salt. That is a great shot!

We occasionally see deer when driving between larger cities around here, but this would be a sight!

Yes, almost every time I go by Abraham lake I see sheep. Interesting creatures to watch.

I remember seeing these guys, not on the road though. I think that would be a little unnerving. Maybe they're looking for a ride?

Mountain sheep. Cool. I have so much to see when I get to that neck of the woods. At 42 I better hurry. Running out of time.

Thanks, Reb.
Messymimi, I hope you get to see it for yourself someday.
Red, it's one of their favourite haunts.
Laurita, it can be a bit unsettling to drive past them on the highway. One must be patient.
We'll wait for you, David.
