The Chartreuse Challenge

Today I rise to the challenge. My chartreuse socks:

It was not so much a challenge as request from Bag Lady in yesterday's comments.
The challenge comes about in trying to show chartreuse as it reflects yellow or green depending on its surroundings and how the light hits it.
The top shot has some yellow bias to it according to my eyes.
The bottom shot shows more yellow-green when set beside proper green socks.
Opinions?

I sure hope so, Tabor.

Your secret is out - Tabor spilled the beans!

Love the chartreuse, and agree with you about the subtle difference, depending on the colour partner!

Bag Lady, thanks for the back up. I'm a chartreuse fan from way back.

" I'm a chartreuse fan from way back." I hope you mean the colour not the liqueur

Yes, the colour, Rikk. I've never had the liqueur. Of course, now I'm more tempted than ever to try it.

Leah, avoid the liqueur! Vile, nasty stuff! Love the socks, but I tend to go barefoot as often as possible. Always in the house, unless my feet are cold which doesn't happen often in the apartment and then, I have lovely slippers to put on.

Thanks for the warning, Reb. Barefoot simply does not feel comfortable to me. Some exceptions apply.

Very kind of you to say, Messymimi.

I second Reb's warning about chartreuse liqueur. I had some once. That was enough. Once is not enough for the colour!

Mary Anne, I'll take the warning to heart. Glad the colour is a hit.

You and Frank ... your socks match a t-shirt he just bought.

Cool. I have a chartreuse shirt, too.
