Thank you, Carla. It was just the two of us and it was wonderful.
Thanks, Hilary. You, too.
I couldn't come up with anything to not be grateful for. That expression may have come about from the "skunk line" in cribbage. I suppose I should look it up and find out for a fact.
Ah OK. I was thinking that you literally got skunked. I imagined you surprising and in turn being surprised by a wee black and white critter. Your lack of gratitude for that would be most understandable. Having nothing readily come to mind is even better.
I love Cribbage.. and have been skunked more than I care to admit. ;)
Thanks. Enjoy the day. Before long the "snow birds" from up your way will be back here to winter in the desert. If they arrive by Nov. 25, they'll have still another day for gratitude.
Happy Thanksgiving, cousin! Hilary's comment made me giggle because I knew what you meant when you said you were skunked! (Guess our shared history counts for something. eh?)
I hope you had a fabulous calm family and friends filled day.
ReplyDeleteYou got skunked?
ReplyDeleteHappy Turkey Day.. don't tell the guys in the 2nd photo..

ReplyDeleteThose wild turkeys have a lot to be grateful for on this day!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a good one!
Thanks, Ron. I've celebrated American Thanksgiving on occasion as my grandmother was from Nebraska.
ReplyDeleteYes, they do, Bossy Betty. Thanks.
Lovely photos, Happy Thanksgiving to you both.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Reb.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving and top photos as usual.

ReplyDeleteBag Lady, I just knowed you'd get it.
Yes, I'm late, as usual. Lots of kitten trouble.
ReplyDeleteGlad your Thanksgiving was good, and hope you have much happen in the next year to be thankful for next time, too.
Thanks so much, Messymimi.
