Nice to know you have a lot of avian friends come around to your feeders. We've been enjoying our own and at least a half dozen chipmunks.. and a couple of red squirrels. They sure do entertain.Hilaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12787493532006658679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1892083748555571767.post-61540503398366939422014-08-27T16:17:36.286-06:002014-08-27T16:17:36.286-06:00Being in that kind of moment is always good. Like little helicopters landing and taking off.David Cranmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04749857752139212888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1892083748555571767.post-45941236833325520332014-08-27T11:20:49.392-06:002014-08-27T11:20:49.392-06:00Crows will tell a person off just for existing, I ...Crows will tell a person off just for existing, I think, Messymimi.

Enjoy your trip, Tabor. And have a bit of a talk with the crows. They call out to each other, and if i talk to them, they will sometimes talk back -- i think they scold me for trying to interrupt!messymimihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10649529601786689712noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1892083748555571767.post-25242993714425964842014-08-27T06:35:32.269-06:002014-08-27T06:35:32.269-06:00Ah, the geese. It means there are no predators around. Of course, there are alarm calls for that. Here in the city, I never hear the sudden silence that means a hawk, although I see them from time to time. (They no longer land on my roof-tree with a *thunk*.)
For me, there's nothing that compares to the call of geese flying overheard. Here in the city, some geese apparently live quite near me, because they fly over my house several times a day all year round. Delightful.

Mary Anne in Kentuckysolarityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03606487180967915130noreply@blogger.com
