"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
-Hamlet, Act One, Scene Five
This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” - (again with the Hamlet)
How in the world can a pit toilet be out of order?
Please note this is a rhetorical question.
I don't want to hear your theories.
I have my own.
I am trying not to think about them.
Have a nice day.
If that's possible now.
I was struggling in vain to keep my mouth shut, when blogger told me I needed to enable cookies in order to comment. (It tells me this a lot; it's always wrong. But this time helpful with the self-restraint.)
...So may I at least mention the possibility of a small sleepy dragon?
Leah, the only reference is to my wild imagination. I was thinking "What could have hatched in the spring warmth?" and I could see the baby dragon so clearly, with the pieces of his shell lying beside him and his tail twitching a little as he slept. I don't remember the HP dragons very well, and I haven't gotten around to reading Eragon, but this one is quite sweet.
(Brain goes ping!) This imagination-dwelling dragon is not the same as Robin McKinley's Dragonhaven, either, but I think it's time for me to read it again.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....Oh this is funny. I'll keep my mouth shut;))
Dawn, glad I gave you a laugh.
Two Dawns in a row - how good is that!
I do have some experience of pit toilets (long drops, as we call them out here) but not recently. I'm happy to leave it like that.
Love the name long drop.
Dawn, I understand.
Well, that is the men's side, so I really don't want to know either! Very funny though.
Ewwww!
Reb, glad you enjoyed it.
Tabor, yep.

Mary Anne, I'm a-feared I don't get the reference. But I admire your restraint.
Too funny... but I wanted to hear all of the theories. Potty pooper! ;)
Sorry, Hilary.
Hilary's comment cracked me up!
And so did Mary Anne's.... dragon?? Dear heavens, I have enough trouble using a pit toilet without having to worry about dragons!
Dragon! Wonderful idea, as long as it's an Eragon style, not a Harry Potter style.
Messymimi, HP fan, are you? I am. Haven't had the pleasure of Eragon and don't think I will.

Ah, of course, Mary Anne. If it held a hatchling dragon I sure wouldn't want to disturb it.
