Scenes from a Tree

Red-shafted flicker assesses the situation before venturing out.

Back, and he brought food.

Feeding the hungry beaks.

That's it?

Daddy?

Such a neat series of photos. Birds are the most fascinating things. I love that last photo.

Sadly, if I were walking along I'd probably blow right past that tree, thinking a million thoughts, not catching any of the bird business. Thanks for having the mindfulness and patience to capture it for us flighty types!

My pleasure, Crabby.

Thanks, Dawn. I guess it's that or put up with all the squawking.
