An Era Ends

An era has ended. Patty Andrews, last remaining member of the Andrews Sisters, died Wednesday at the age of 94.

I like to think she's having a rum and Coca-Cola with her sisters.

I understand. I fire them up when I need perking.

I feel like I should sit under the apple tree. Maybe at apple blossom time.

RIP Ms Andrews.

As well you should, Hilary. And I'll be with you as you do.

i hadn't realized they were that close to my father in age (he'd be 100 next month); he seemed to think of them as about a generation younger.

Mine as well, Red.

I wonder if their liveliness made them seem that way, Mary Anne.

Sad news indeed. I will always enjoy their music though.

Yes, i hope she is. They had more number one hits than many more famous groups, and i feel that history hasn't yet given them their due.

So will I, Reb.

I think you're right, Messymimi.
