Gratitude Monday- My Husband Baked Edition

Yesterday my husband baked and for it I am grateful.
He made Povetica, a Croatian yeast-based coffee cake with walnut filling.
It took a few hours as there's rising involved.
It tastes really good.
No photos as he was not pleased with the look.  It's strudel-like, but with gluten free flours that can be a challenge.
It was a grey day yesterday with the promise of snow ever present, but never fulfilled.  It was the perfect day for baking.
He did the dishes afterward. I am grateful for that as well.

Beig married to someone who can cook and cook well is wonderful. My husband is a very good cook and has improved over the years, with my help(!). Both of us are not the best bakers, and I watch that British Bake-off show and raally want to learn to bake.

I am always grateful when someone bakes, even thousands of miles away!

It's always a special treat when someone bakes something for you. There have been a couple of times when someone made something for me that was not strictly on what i consider my eating plan, and because of the love put into it, i have had a grateful bite, savoring the taste of their kindness.

Tabor, my husband loves to bake and is not afraid to take on anything.

Thank you, Mary Anne.

Messymimi, love and kindness are the best ingredients ever.

Lucky you! My hubby hasn't tackled baking anything yet, but he is becoming more and more adept at cooking supper on the days I am working. I am ever hopeful that he will get around to baking.

Bag Lady, lucky you he can cook a main meal. Mike will, but he isn't comfortable with it.

Kimberley, it sure is.
