I am grateful for bacon.
I eat it almost every day and rarely does it disappoint.
Over the course of my lifetime I've had the odd batch of bacon that wasn't very good, but it was still bacon.
It goes with almost everything and is suitable for every meal.
What more could a person ask?

As a former almost every day bacon eater turned vegetarian, I can only applaud this post!
Why thank you, Kimberley.
Sweetie agrees heartily. Bacon, and bacon grease saved for flavoring other foods, is a staple in our home.
Messymimi, bacon goes with everything.
Bacon seems to have global popularity around the world where it is available.
What more could one ask? Chocolate. I could (and have) live without bacon. But bacon fat? When I was allergic to pork my cooking was not the same.

Ack.. I don't agree.. but that's okay, right? It's not that I don't like bacon.. I just don't loooove it. But I'll share my chocolate with you and Mary Anne.
Hilary, you are a kind and generous soul. May your chocolate always be plentiful.

Bacon is comonly loved, Tabor.
Excellent point, Mary Anne. Chocolate is important.
Allergy to pork? No bacon pat? Oh, dear.
Hilary, disagreeing is great. It's what makes us question our beliefs and hone them or abandon them.
