Gratitude Monday --The Great Outdoors Edition

On Saturday we took a drive out west along Highway 11.
We had a picnic in the car, did a bit of walking, and then drove just inside Banff Park to the Glacier Lake staging area and did a bit of that hike.
It was a grand day in the great outdoors and for it I am grateful.
This photo is looking east  and south from Whirlpool Point along Highway 11.

It must be hard to resist going out there on every beautiful, clear day! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.

Peaceful.
You do make me feel I should make more of an effort to go places on my days off, but I so often end up choosing the peace of staying home.

Whirlpool point is one of my favorite places on the David thompson. I've climbed the ridge many times as I took students on outdoor Ed trips. The first time I got to the top an eagle flew up on the opposite side and almost hit me in the face.

Messymimi, we get out every chance we get.

Mary Anne, peace is out there, too.

Red, that's quite an experience.
