"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
-Hamlet, Act One, Scene Five
This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” - (again with the Hamlet)
We get Hairy and Downy woodpeckers here and they are very pleased with the peanuts and peanut butter we set out for them. This Downy couple were by several times on Sunday and consented to be photographed.
Woodpeckers like peanut butter? Learned another new thing from your blog!
We get the occasional woodpecker, but I don't know if they're downy or hairy or fluffy or scraggly or whatever. They just make a lot of noise, that's all I know.
Did you and Sis conspire on bird photos todays? I think your couple is very pretty. We don't get them in the city, or at least not in my neighbourhood and I am surrounded by trees here.
Great minds, eh? The Bag Lady needs to wash her kitchen window so she can photograph through it when the birds are at the feeder on the deck! Of course, she also needs to refill the feeder because the last woodpecker was having a fine frenzy of a time, flinging birdseed every which way!

Oh, Crabby, they sure do like peanut butter. So do chickadees.

Oh, Reb, the Bag Lady and I just had one of those "great mind" moments.
No conspiracy here.
