Gratitude Monday - Soon

Near Num-Ti-Jah Lodge along the Banff Parkway.

Spring is here and with it the promise of sunshine, green grass, and lazy summer days.
But it first brought us a spring snow storm that left us with several inches of fresh, fluffy snow.
Moisture is good, and I am certainly grateful for it, but I'd really rather have a proper summer soaker than more snow.
It is what we have, though, and there's nothing to be done about it except ride it out and know that summer, and scenes like this, will be back soon.
I'm grateful that I live so close to the mountains and that I have a car. I can go any time I please. I am also grateful that I have this photo and many others like it to look at on days when it is snowy and grey.
It seemed like time to put up a picture like this. I hope you enjoy it.

What a beautiful picture! The color of the water is amazing.

For everything there is a season... but winter could wind down any time now, it's hogging more than its fair share.

Crabby, good to have you back!

The water in mountain lakes really is an amazing blue. I never tire of it.
You are so right about winter. I want green and leafy, and I want it soon.

dfLeah - aaahhh... thanks. That was a wonderful interlude. I never tire of looking at pictures of the Rockies!
I, too, am grateful for the moisture, but I wouldn't mind one little bit if it came in the form of a nice gentle rain!

I miss the rain.

That water is a beautiful shade of turquoise. I'm sure there's another snowfall in our near future too.. but I'm hoping I'm wrong.

Oh the spring snows have just begun, Hilary.

The Canadian Rockies are my favourite place on earth. My own posts dictate that enough! I'm thinking it's almost time to make that permanent trek back.
