Spring in the Rockies. The North Saskatchewan River is open and flowing while the land remains cold and dry. Snow huddles in the shade hanging on as long as it can and mountains rise from the plain to greet the returning warmth of the sun.

"When it's springtime in the Rockies, I'll be coming home to you, Little sweetheart of the ...........(uh oh, can't remember the words)" but that should be enough to make the song stick in my head, anyway! :)
Glad to hear the river is open.
It snowed and is bloody cold here today. sigh.
Thanks,df Bag Lady. I'll have to Google those lyrics now.
It's cold here, too. Biting wind. Fresh snow from yesterday. Gotta love spring in this wacky province.
Thanks, Travis.
Lovely photo Leah. It is just cold and windy here, the snow is supposed to come maybe tonight. Thanks to Sis, that song is stuck in my head now too and I don't have the words either!
Thanks,Reb. It's on the cold side here, but the sun is out.
What wonderful scenery - a landscape to lose yourself in. Makes my neck of the woods look very tame.
Hello Dawn, yes it's very easy to lose yourself here.
I don't think your place is all that tame, though.
Gorgeous! Rugged and lush at the same time.
Thanks, Thomma Lynn. I know how much you like mountains.
df Leah,
What a magnificent view. And I remember the melody that df Bag Lady is singing, but not the words.
Terrie
dfTerrie, it's really something. I'm thrilled to live here.
"snow huddles in the shade hanging on as long as it can"
love.
It's good to have my words appreciated, MizFit. Thanks.
