This is the top of the Ptarmigan Circe Trail in Kananaskis. It's one of my favourite hikes.
I haven't done this hike in years and I expect it might be a year or so before I'm able to do it again.
I can look, though, and that's good enough for now.

Oh that looks so beautiful! It makes me long for a nice mountain hike. Thanks so much for sharing that!
Crabby, you're welcome. It is a beautiful spot.
That is gorgeous! Almost enough to make me want to take a stroll! (If I weren't so danged lazy and out of shape, that is.)
Thanks, df Bag Lady. It's fairly easy hike.
Oh how lovely. Thanks for sharing.
You are welcome, Reb.
I'm a mountain person, and some of the most beautiful mountains I have ever seen were in Canada. The Canadian Rockies are majestic! This mountain is also spectacular. It looks a little strenuous to hike, though...
Nancy, the main part of the hike ends at the green part you see in the foreground. It's a series of switchbacks to get there, and there aren't very many of them. It's possibly to continue toward the bare peaks if you like, but I don't know how far you can go.
I forgot to thank you for the lead to the Earth Angels website. I've bookmarked it and plan to visit her website often. Thanks!
Lovely photo and now I yearn for more hiking, but alas writing calls.
You're quite welcome, Nancy. That site's been a great help to me.
Thanks, Barbara. I understand as I'm re-writing/ editing/ wondering what I was thinking.
Breathtaking view. Pretty sure I don't have the legs for that kind of hike anymore, though. Or the wind.
But I EXCEL in vicarious enjoyment! So, if and when you tackle it again, bring your camera (and me) along. I'm certain I'll enjoy it. :)
It's a deal, Frank.
I'm looking forward to doing that one again some day soon.
Sure is a beautiful place. You're so very lucky to have that on your doorstep. And I'll join Frank to cheer you on when you next take that hike.
Hilary, I really am lucky to live here and to be able to get out and enjoy it.
Wow, that looks fabulous! I'd love to take on the challenge of that hike. :)
Thomma Lyn, I think you'd really enjoy it.
