"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
-Hamlet, Act One, Scene Five
This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” - (again with the Hamlet)
That's an exceptional piece of phtography, Leah. Love it. How tall were those two and did you use 'macros' setting or just really zoom in? I'm still learning with all the settings but I find that if i zoom too much I lose the photo.
David B., thanks. I'd say they were 12 to 15 inches high. My zoom was at 180mm (max is 250) with shutter at 1/180 and aperture at at f 11. Sensitivity at 100. Learning is fun. Get out there and play.
Thank you, Carla. There's a magnificent world at our feet.

Very cool contrast between the two!
I see where it gets its name. And, like Reb mentioned, the constrast really stands out.

lovely.
Odd to see the two so close together. As a kid I remember playing with horsetail. Nice photo!
Reminds me of down by the creek around here. Very pretty.
Thanks, Reb.
David C., it is apt, isn't it?

Thanks, Tabor. I liked how they looked together.
Messymimi, thanks. Creek edges are fascinating.
As a desert dweller, I hope you have more pics of wetlands. Enjoy looking at them through your camera.
Love your photos. So delicate.

Perhaps now I can leave a comment....
(have been having an identity crisis, according to Google. sigh)
Love the photo - as others have mentioned, the contrast between the plants is very cool!

Bag Lady, thanks. I wondered why I hadn't heard from you.
