Jackson Hole, Wyoming
My husband and I went on a road trip a few weeks back that took us through Yellowstone and south to Jackson. It was wonderful. I wish we'd had more time, but I am still grateful for the trip and the gorgeous scenery.
We left Jackson before 7:30 Sunday morning. It was already warm with fog low on the ground, especially over the Snake River.

I am grateful for the 4 days we just spent camping..... and grateful that we are home and I have to go back to work today. Really.

Thanks for the wonderful pic. This is an amazing place on the earth. John McPhee gives a fascinating account of Jackson Hole over the geological ages in his book on Wyoming, RISING FROM THE PLAINS. In the days of early settlement, residents were snowed in during the winters. According to Owen Wister in THE VIRGINIAN, it was also a hang-out for outlaws because of its remote location.

Another amazing place to visit... I will definitely add it on my dream places. It is no wonder many families from different parts of the country and even the world fly to this state to enjoy a once in a lifetime kind of camping adventure.
