"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
-Hamlet, Act One, Scene Five
This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” - (again with the Hamlet)
Those buildings ARE full of character...and I'm with David- the colors are great. It would be quite lovely if we had that kind of architecture here, (although out of place I guess!)
I wish a very Happy new year to you and yours Leah. It has been wonderful reading you each day and I look forward to more of your depth, humor, and photos! Cheers for 2011!
(Oh- and your new header is wonderful. I can't quit looking at it- a great capture!)

Wonderful photo, cousin!
But the new header is absolutely terrific. I love it!
David, thanks. It was the character that attracted me to them.
Have a great New Year.

Glad you like the header.
Bag Lady, thanks.
Glad the header is such a hit. It was the street just below our hotel room.
Happy New Year to you and yours, and keep the diverse and unusual coming!
The header is lovely. I love the buildings on the square too. Happy New Year.

Thanks, Messymimi. All the best to you and yours for a happy 2011.
I can't stand to look at all those balconies; it will be months before it's balcony weather again. That's such a pleasantly asymmetrical square.

Put me in with the lovers of the new header...what a perspective!
Old Havana will forever be old, won't it? So picturesque.
Solarity, I'm sure you'll enjoy your balcony weather even more for having been deprived of it.
CherylK, thanks. It's an amazing place for photos.
Nice shot, Leah. Views from windows are so rewarding.

Thank you, Barbara.
Betty, it's quite something.
