The handiest, dawn. And yes, carrots are god for eyesight. Beta carotene 'n' all.

We had loads of carrots from our garden this summer. We love them, but, so do our dogs love the sweetness and the crunch.
Those look yummy. I think I'll go grab some out of my fridge now!
Carrots are my favourite raw veggie. Can't stand them cooked though! ~shudder~

Sorry, they're not "perfect" or they'd taste like chocolate! But they are damn good for you and I'm glad they help you write--that's definitely an under-publicized nutritional benefit.

Frank, you could try to acquire the taste. If you try, then you'll find they're a lot like potato chips, if your imagination co-operates.
Most dogs like carrots; they're one of the recommended substitutes for dog biscuits for dogs with diet restrictions (allergy, kidney, all sorts of things.) My personal dogs have never been as enthusiastic about them as they are about broccoli and squash and (oh, joy!) bell pepper.
I don't like raw carrots nearly as much as cooked, myself. Asparagus is the only one I can think of that I actually prefer raw.
