"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
-Hamlet, Act One, Scene Five
This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” - (again with the Hamlet)

They're so much fun to watch. I hope he sticks around. With all that good eating, he's bound to.
I have a peanut and a suet feeder right off my kitchen window and often have Downy woodpeckers and northern flickers on it. Nice shot.
OH
we need to make one, too!
Hilary, they're fun to watch and cute, too.
Sage, great place to have a feeder. We have a sunflower feeder off the kitchen window. We watch the birds eat as we eat and sometimes they watch us.
Carla, you'll have a blast watching them.
Yum!!! His whole attitude looks happy, i think that's one reason they are fun to watch.
I never realized it until you said it, but you're right.
I love watching woodpeckers.... but I've noticed there seems to be a growing hole in one of the posts that hold up my roof.....
I'm sure it's just a coincidence, Bag Lady. Nothing to worry about.
