Yesterday was a beautiful day.
It was warm, it was bright, and there was nothing unusual about it beyond the unseasonably high temperature.
I got some yard work done.
My husband fixed the roof over the deck.
It was just a day like another day in long line of days where nothing extraordinary happens.
Extraordinary has its place. I am all for it. It livens things up and brings perspective, but ordinary is good and hardly ever gets its due.
It was a sunny, warm, ordinary day yesterday and for it I am grateful.

Ordinary is unappreciated. Coffee in the morning is ordinary (say I, drinking some) yet glorious.
Mary Anne in Kentucky
Yes, Mary Anne. I'm having my morning coffee now, too, and I'm grateful.
And here in another time zone... morning coffee as well! Which I look forward to and savor every damn sip of. And it's a LOT of sips as I pour two huge 20 ounce mugs over the course of a morning.
Grateful for ordinary coffee which is at the same time pretty extraordinary!
Me, too, Crabby.
Ordinary is good. I thrive on ordinary. (and coffee.)
I am late for Gratitude Monday, but even though it's Wednesday, I am grateful because my hummingbird is back! Yay - it's spring!
Yay! Hummingbird!
