I was playing with the features on my Nikon CoolPix like B&W (top) and vivid colour (centre) along with the telephoto. I am pleased to note the zoom did the above all by its lonesome.

This camera has a great reputation. My Canon point and shoot is one of my favorites and has been for about seven years. BUT there is always room in my arsenal for new tools.
Tabor, it's an L820. It fits nicely in my hand, has a great grip, and can be operated with one hand.
Plenty of fun features to explore. I'm very happy with it.
At the house we moved from just under a year ago I often had opportunity to see birds in the willow tree right outside, and I have come to miss that in the new place. So a couple weekends ago I rearranged my office so that I can see out the window here, as well as keep the drapes open without the glare making my computer screen unviewable (important for someone who works from home). Next I need to get a couple feeders right outside so I can bring the birds back!

I sympathize with the light issue. Around 3 p.m this time of year it shines right in my eyes as I work on the computer.
