Gratitude Monday -- Snowshoeing Edition

We went showshoeing at Crimson Lake on Saturday. It was warm and sunny and it was wonderful to be outside.
I'm am grateful for it and for my husband who helps me with my snowshoes.

Snowshoeing in the bush was exhilarating.

And in the open was just plain fun.

Sunshine is exhilarating however you get it. I don't think I have any ambition to live where snowshoeing is a frequent pastime, though.

Mary Anne in Kentucky, expecting to walk to work through snow tomorrow, but for today, the streets and paths are clear

Looks like it was a glorious day for it!
I have not snowshoed since high school. The shoes I used were too big, I think, and it was awkward and not fun. I might have to try it again. Of course, with the warm weather we have been having lately, our snow has packed and is developing a crust, so it will be "walkable" soon!

So true about the sunshine, Mary Ann. I look forward to clear paths, but in their own time.

Bag Lady, too big snowshoes are annoying. I have extensions on mine for use in deep snow that I remove. It's too awkward.

That does indeed look fun, and good for you for getting out there and enjoying the sun. From what I hear, snowshoeing is GREAT exercise!

It is, Crabby, and fun to boot.

Showshoeing is so much fun. Been years. Thanks for reminding me because my daughter would get a real kick out of the adventure.

My pleasure, David. I hope you two get to it soon.

Beautiful! It does look like fun, more fun than skiing, which i was never able to master.

Safer, too, Messymimi, as far as I am concerned.

I've never tried snowshoeing though my son has and tells me that I'd love it. Fun shots of what looks like a lovely day.

Hilary, I recommend you give it a shot. It's a great way to enjoy the winter world.
