Photo-Finish Friday - Extreme Close Up

When I first got my Nikon CoolPix L820 I played with the available settings, including the extreme zoom.
I was curious what would happen and what it would do to the quality of the photo.
The above is the result.
I stood in town and took a picture of the mountains 50 miles away.
While it cannot be called a good photo, I like it.

It certainly brings the mountains closer, and i think that's a wonderful thing. (Pictures of mountains always excite me as we don't have them here in the swamp.)

Glad to have made you happy, Messymimi.

I like it, too. It is difficult not to like pictures of mountains.

New technology is always a fund tool. I was so happy with my new telephoto years ago, but a little more practical with it now.

Aye, Tabor. Me, too. But it's always fun to see what a thing can do.
