And It Was Good

Bacon Weave =Food Porn

It turned out rather well. I should have added some more liquid in the afternoon. Possibly turned it down to 250F then as well. Clearly I will have to make it again and again until I get it right.
But the fat on the bacon kept the roast moist enough and I was happy with it.
Husband pronounced it tasty.

Thanks for your support, Carla. It was pretty tasty.

Dawn, it's amazing there's any left, but there is so I think we'll have leftover roast tonight.
I have to go out today, but it's only around town. I was out a bit yesterday and went very slowly.

Mary Anne, it's practically a breakfast itself.

I'll work on one soon, so keep giving hints as you learn them, please.

Certainly, Messymimi.
I'm sure yours will turn out well.

Oh! That looks like it was tasty! Once you have perfected it, you will have to post the 'recipe' for us all to try it out ;)

Reb, I'm glad you put 'recipe' in quotes. I make things up as a I go along. I could back draft something if need be.

Bag Lady, it needs work, but it was still damned tasty.

Hilary, we did. Left overs tonight. Yay!

That looks so good! It's late afternoon here and I was just starting to think about dinner.

Now I'm dribbling!

Dawn, thanks. I strongly recommend bacon weave for...well...everything.

I'm thinking this would cook quite nicely in the crockpot on low! Perhaps not as lovely, but I'm thinking it would stay moist.
My youngest would be appalled, but the other 3 and their dad would love it!

kcinnova, I think it's worth a try. If you do,please come back and tell me about it. I'm curious.
