The Path To Autumn

Where does the path lead you?

Leah.

This picture is perfect for me today. I had a part time job for the last two and half years and I quit yesterday.

So this path to Autumn leads to freedom and adventure. No sooner did I resign than I learned that I would have some out of town company coming from the south and then another friend coming from the west.

I have a book launch on November first and now I have lots of extra time to write, meditate and walk in the woods.

This picture says all of that to me. Thank you.

Terrie

Love the photo - I've always had a 'thing' about paths, or little dirt roads - an almost irresistable urge to find out where they lead. The same way I feel when I see an abandoned house leaning in a field - I always want to go inside. The little mysteries of life - where does this go; who lived there; why did they leave; what's behind that fence? Maybe I'm just a Nosy Old Bag!! (I prefer to think of it as a healthy curiosity...)

Terrie - You're welcome. I'm so glad your path is leading you to adventure.
Best of everything with the book launch.
And congratulations on quitting your job.

Bag Lady - Thanks. I'm the same way about paths, old houses, etc.
Stuff should be explored.

to a picnic, or maybe I should make some lunch and check it again later?

I'm with Terrie. I see it as a path to new adventures. My adventures mostly involve writing a mystery novel for the first time (eek!) and finding/utilizing new means of getting help for my mom and me. Mostly, however, it reminds me to stay focused on manifesting a new future for us - to move forward and not backtrack or unmoving any more.

Reb - why not do both?

Virginia Lee - A mystery novel? Good for you!
I'm glad your path is forward.

Too cold for a picnic here today! Hhmmm, I see my exciting future lying ahead of me - damn, hungry again! I guess my immediate future is cooking supper.

Either my timing sucks for viewing your blog today, or your picture is making me hungry! Certainly yearning for a walk in the woods!

Well, Reb, it's weird if the photo's making you hungry, but you may as well go with it.

Isabella - Of course you can stick around. Maybe the path led you here.

I love these kinds of shots. For me it is a path back to some special place. Not sure which one, but it probably doesn't matter anyway. I may go there and never come back, who knows? Thanks for showing me the way...:)--Scott

Catherine and Phoenix - Glad to be inspiring.

It was my pleasure, Scott.
