An island in Beagle Channel outside of Usuaia, Argentina. We spent a lovely morning on a catamaran exploring Beagle Channel. We went by the Sea Wolves Island Nature Reserve and saw the lighthouse at the end of the world.
This scene touched me. I don't know what the structure is, but I found it lonely and beautiful as though it had taken a stand against the elements and refused to give in.

Leah,
It looks like a gate that opnes to let in those lost and forgotten. Nice photo
Should proof read before hitting send. The word is "opens"
That is a stunning photo, dfLeah. It looks so stark and lonely - a sentinel to remind us of past lives.
Marvelous shot!
Tom, what a wonderful description.
Thanks.
dfBag Lady, that's a good way to put it. And thanks.
Fabulous photo, Leah! I agree that it really does look lonely and somewhat desolate. You have got to have a lot of photos in your mind of all the beautiful spots you've been to!
That's an outstanding photo, Leah. I hope you'll print, frame and hang it.
And forgive me for thinking that Beagle Channel was a station which televised Snoopy cartoons. ;)
Redbush, thanks so much. It's ahrd to decide which one to run.
Hilary, thanks so much. I think I should have it up on the wall.
Snoopy. LOL.
Leah, that is stunning. Wow, we could make up so many stories for that: It could be where the villagers chain the sacrificial virgin for Neptune.
Reb, that's a great idea. Have at it. And thanks.
Funny, had I been there in person I might have glanced over and missed the beauty of it. But the way you photographed and described it, I found it quite lovely! Sometimes I just need a little help I guess.
What a lovely thing to say, Crabby. That you so much.
Thank you. Not that you. Thank you.
Oh, how beautiful. I like that, "taken a stand against the elements and refused to give in."
Hello, Thomma Lyn.
Thank you so much.
