"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
-Hamlet, Act One, Scene Five
This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” - (again with the Hamlet)
Beautiful shot, full of typical autumn colours. The golden against the the dark sky is a lovely contrast. Thank you for stopping by my place and likewise congratulation.;) xo
Okay...wow. A really good photograph evokes an emotional response, I think. I've always been incredibly fond of pictures of roads and paths. There's just something so inviting about the good ones. I always want to go tromping down them, find out what is around that bend.
But your photograph is extra special because one look at the color of that sky and a shiver goes down my spine. Not in an unpleasant sense, but in anticipation.
I'm not kidding, I think that's the only roadway picture I've ever seen that looked like it was inviting people into wild adventure. Just passed the bend, into the wild rumpus!

Nice shot, Leah. I love this time of year and it seems we both had a similar idea this week. :-)
so so beautiful.
Beautiful! Is that photo from this year? The colours are so vibrant already.
David, thanks. I love the fall, too.
Carla, yes it is. The sunlight catching the trees was so striking.
Thanks, Laurita. Yes, this year. The pic is from last Sunday.
Fall makes for the loveliest photos. I took 800 Canadian photos and am finding I will delete so few!
You're so right, Tabor.
I am ready for fall but dang it is still hitting upper 90s here everyday.
Lovely shot, cousin! The wind has taken a lot of the leaves around here already, but there are still enough to keep it pretty.
Sounds like you long for cooler weather, Travis.
Thanks, df Bag Lady. The wind's been at it here, too. At least it makes for good drying days.
Not only love the colors...but the angle the road takes makes me want to see what's next.
Happy weekend to you!

Great shot! The yellow is so bright.
Dawn, it is most enticing. Happy weekend to you, too.
Reb, thanks. The dark cloud above, the recent rain, and the sun hitting the leaves really brought out the colours.
Just the place where I would get so caught up in the scenery everyone behind me would be honking...
Gotta admit. I miss the turning of the leaves here in socal. Thanks for the lovely photo.
The colours are just amazing when saturated by sunlight... in a cloudy sky. You've captured a beautiful scene here, Leah.
Messymimi, it's easy to get distracted by the colours.
Ron, you're welcome. I love the season change.
Hilary, thanks. The sun against the trees under the clouds was amazing.
Such gorgeous colours! Uplifting.
