Me and my Focus at Twin Lakes last spring. |
If I wish to go out looking for pictures, I do so.
If I want to go for a drive, then I go for a drive.
The first two can be accomplished in several different ways, but they are easiest done with a car and a driver's license.
The third one requires access to a vehicle and the aforementioned license unless I can rook someone into being a chauffeur.
It's easier to do it myself and I am grateful for the simple pleasure of driving a car that I own.

Im a little uncertain I have the time.
instead choooosing to be grateful I will MAKE the time.
There are so many things we take for granted - thanks for the reminder that we should be grateful for everything!
(WV - ablei)
Carla, Happy NaNoing.
dfBagLady, my pleasure. Driving's a simple thing that we don't even think about.
Cool WV.
I know quite a few people without a car or driver's licence. It makes me appreciate even more the freedom of being able to go whenever I want. This is a very good gratitude.
Have to share a car ever since my 1988 Accord got totaled by a delivery truck in the Costco parking lot. Not the same thing as having your own wheels...
I have never thought about this!!!! Funny...but I take hopping into my vehicle a spinning away for granted! I guess I shouldn't...I usually am in it at least several hours a day driving children around!!
Thank you for the reminder to have a little gratitude for my license and set of wheels:)
Have a wonderful new week Leah!
Laurita, thanks. Sometimes I have to stop and think about the obvious.
Ron sorry to hear about your Accord. Hope everything gets sorted out.
Dawn, thanks. We take so much for granted yet everything in its own way is a gift and a privilege.
Thanks for this simple reminder to be grateful!
My pleasure, Bossy Betty.
I'm one of those without the license and vehicle so I'm grateful for a good bus system and two working legs.
Hilary, I used to live in a city before I drove and I got around on the bus. It never occurred to me back then I should be grateful for it, but you've reminded me. Thanks.
Yes, my independent spirit insists I have access to my own transport. It does not have to be pretty but it does have to be reliable.
Tabor, as long as it gets the job done.
Well, I am grateful to have transit in the city, but having the independence to go where and when you want is something I look forward to having again someday. I miss my car.
I know you'll have it again, Reb.
Also grateful that right now we can afford the gas.
Yes, Messymimi, that's a definite consideration.
As the other Dawn said, we simply take it for granted. Thanks for reminding me to be grateful for my somewhat shabby, old, but oh so reliable, car.
You're welcome, Dawn.
I am very grateful for my car...it's old and has a gazillion miles on it but it gets me from point A to point B.
That's a good picture, by the way!
Thanks, Cheryl. As long as it works.
