"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
-Hamlet, Act One, Scene Five
This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” - (again with the Hamlet)
Raw peas! Surprisingly tasty when fresh, and I totally forgot about them. Thanks for the reminder. Grocery store is never quite as good, but alas, no peas in our garden so its the only option. Still, I'm grateful to have grocery stores, as I'm far to lazy to grow everything I eat.
I've only had raw peas maybe twice, from other people's gardens. Every time I've planted peas the birds got them before they could produce anything. I will try again sometime.

My pleasure. Grocery stores are often okay, Crabby. though you're right about fresh peas.
Nothing beats fresh from the garden.
Fresh raw peas, straight from the garden, are a true delight. Love them in salads or just on their own as a snack. Wonderful post, as always, Leah.
Thanks, VL. Fresh out of the pod are heard to beat.
Raw peas are delicious! Beautiful picture.
Thanks, Betty.
Yum!
My mother will only eat them raw, the rest of the family eats them any way they come.
Delicious picture.
Messymimi, I totally agree with your mom. That said, I'll take garden fresh peas any way I get them.
