Yesterday my husband and I went for a drive.
We went west to the mountains.
We took our time and took many photographs.
We went as far as the Columbia Icefields Parkway, about 100 miles, and turned around.
We stopped at Siffleur Falls on the way back and went for a hike.
We had a turkey dinner at lunch time in Nordegg.
We saw a robin, many deer, many sheep, a hawk, two bald eagles, and four bluebirds.
It was a good day and for it I am grateful.

Had the best day of the year yet yesterday myself. I'm also grateful!
Sounds like a lovely day!
Good to hear the blue birds are back there. The red Deer River Naturalists checked last we and didn't see any but the nest boxes were cleaned out.
Sounds like a marvelous day, cousin. What could be better than spending Easter in the mountains??
That's wonderful, Chris. Glad to know it.
It was, Bossy Betty.
I'm glad they're coming to clean nest boxes, Red. I'm sure they'll be along any moment.
Bag Lady, it was the best day ever.
Hope you and your husband get many more chances to explore the spring.
Thanks, Messymimi. We're going to take every chance we're offered.
Sure sounds like a fine day.
It was wonderful.
Glad you had such a wonderful day! Mine was one of those "pretty darn good for a day I wasn't looking forward to" sorts of days. And heck, it ended with chocolate cake so I really can't complain.
Crabby, it sounds like it turned out well on its own. Add the chocolate and it's a fine bonus.
It sounds like a delightful day. Especially the bluebirds.
Mary Anne in Kentucky
They were a definite bright spot in a bright and shining day, Mary Anne.
Nothing our family likes better than driving, watching the landscape pass by and converse.
It's a wonderful way to spend time, David.
