Our faithful wren couple returned a little while ago and have consented to build in the bird house on the back deck.
We are both very grateful they've come back.
They sing, they cuss, and they work.
It is glorious.
These photos were taken yesterday morning as they took turns waiting on the clothes trees.
I had to shoot through the window on the screen door so as not to disturb them.

I am always grateful for wrens. I haven't seen any this year, but I've heard them.

Singing their little hearts out, too. I hear them in the forest but rarely see one, since the only thing that's big about them is their song. :-)
...and they just chatter all day long starting very early in the morning!
Gorgeous!
Every year we have to remember to close the garage doors as the wrens insist on nesting in that cool cave!
So glad the wrens are a hit.
Hooray! It's lovely when the same couple returns year after year.
it's the best, Messymimi.
It's pouring rain here (and I have jury duty to show up for by 8 am an hour and a half away) so the sight of those cheerful birds really made my morning!
Jury duty? Cool. Glad the birds helped.
