"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
-Hamlet, Act One, Scene Five
This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” - (again with the Hamlet)
In my way of thinking, G-d neither begins nor ends (is eternal), but G-d created space and us, so we and space have a beginning, but no end because we were made to be everlasting (always existent from the moment of creation).
Maybe my differentiating between eternal and everlasting is splitting hairs, but i like such discussions sometimes, it makes me define what i'm thinking.
Messymimi, debating eternity vs infinity makes for excellent discussion. I think eternity requires a starting point. Infinity? Not necessarily. This calls for a definition of God, and that's a long debate. It would sure be interesting, though.

It is a nice mind-bending thought. Good in some ways for judging our responses to challenges in life.
