Gratitude Monday - Consistency Edition

There are certain things that come up at specific times such as the Academy Awards, the change of seasons, even grocery store sales that you can set the calendar by, and for them I am grateful.
Because they can be counted on.
No matter what is happening events that happen at or near the same time each month or year offer us consistency. It is this consistency that brings stability to our lives.
I'm all for new stuff, adventures, excitement, but the new and exciting must be tempered with the stable and consistent or we lose our balance.
So for that reason I am grateful.

I wholly agree that the new and exciting must be tempered with the stable, but I have to comment that my grocery's sales are so random as to be entirely unpredictable. No, I forget Banana Wednesday, which is every week. The ten-pound meat sale, though, could be at any time. It could last for two days, or for a week. It could include chicken, or only red meats.

Oh, my. That certainly is random. At least you can count on Banana Wednesday.

Oh I totally agree! Must take the new and exciting along with the stable or else your life has no balance. It's like taking the good with the bad. Balance!

The routine is the foundation upon which the rest can be built.

Balance is necessary, June.

So true, Messymimi.
