Gratitude Monday --Winging It

I am so grateful I have this photo.
It's an oriole in a tree at Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.
The trees by the hotel were filled with birds, notably hummingbirds, in the morning. A few orioles stopped by for a drink as well and I was tickled silly to see them.
We apparently get orioles out here in Alberta on occasion. I'd never seen one before this acrobat acrobird, and that made it a double pleasure.

I don't think I've ever seen an oriole. That's a nice shot.

I've never seen an oriole, either. Beautiful, aren't they?

Very cool. I've seen the occasional Baltimore Oriole around Frank's place. They sure are day-brighteners.

Yes , Orioles in Alberta are becoming rather rare. There are many kinds of orioles. We only get one...the Baltimore.

Beautiful bird!

Sorry, late to the gratitude party, was off on a camping trip. Which gave me a ton of things to feel grateful for, not the least of which is a Very Patient Partner. Our plans changed a hundred times with bad weather but we had a blast. How lucky am I?

And grateful for your cheerful bird this morning!

Hilary, it sure perked me up.
Red, I've heard they come here, but I hadn't had the pleasure of their company.
Dawn, yes.
Crabby, so glad you enjoyed your camping trip.
Yes, Reb. It is.

We do have orioles in Minnesota and I'm sure I've photographed them. They're Baltimore Orioles. They really are gorgeous, aren't they?
