"Is today Thursday?" I would ask from time to time when young.
"All day if it doesn't rain*." my dad would invariably reply.
It's not raining here today, so I guess it's Thursday.
*If you don't get it, say Thursday quickly so it sounds like thirsty.

He sounds much like my own Dad who always played with words. Another favourite tease was "We can't possibly have ice cream sundaes on Saturday" or some such variation.

I do know my your from my you're. But my fingers don't.
But it is raining today and it's Thursday! I know I'm being picky. Thursday is a word that is played with often.
