Looking west from Abraham Lake. The lake is man-made and was brought about by a dam on the North Saskatchewan River in the early 1970s. It had been a native burial ground.
Hello Dawn - Yes, it seems to me there was quite a bit of controversy. I'm afraid I don't recall much about it. I didn't live here then and it was about 36 years ago.

That's beautiful scenery but sad that a lake was made on sacred ground. Was there much controversy about it?
