I have.
But now the mystery has been solved. I stumbled on this strange sight yesterday while out for a walk near a local lake.
I found three socks sunning themselves on a tree in the mid-afternoon.
Did they finally feel safe enough to finish drying?
Or was it just a rest before continuing on their journey?
We may never know.

Thanks for clearing up this mystery! You'll have to go back to check and see if the count has increased, or if they were just resting during their migration to Sockville -- "Wasting Away Again in Sockville..." (OMG, too much coffee this morning!)
This explains a heck of a lot! I can't say I blame them, though. Hanging out on a sunny tree branch sure beats being stretched over someone's stinky feet.

The tree is actually holding the socks for ransom. But the owner need not worry becasue we all know a tree's bark is worse than it's bite.
