An adult male goldfinch checks out his world.
A young evening grosbeak has a look around.
And a young white-throated sparrow has found some good cover.
We've been blessed with plenty of birds this year. It's down a bit from some years, but at least we can keep them fed without being run off our feet.
It's a pleasure to have them around to liven up the place and the young ones are usually okay with posing for a picture.

Lovely photos, dfLeah! All I seem to have for birds at my feeders right now are blue jays and the occasional woodpecker. Oh and the ever-present and always cheerful chickadees, the bane of the Princess' existence.
Thanks,dfBag Lady. I find the birds put a smile on my face. We haven't had a blue jay around much lately and neither have the woodpeckers been by. They'll be back when the weather cools a bit more. The chickadees have brought out their fall call as have the crows so that won't be too much longer.
Amazing! I am impressed you know what type of birds they are - I just refer to them as that "brown bird" or "yellow bird", etc. :-)
Very nice photos...I don't think I could name a bird with a book! :)
Missicat, thanks.
Thanks, Mark.
I hardly knew anything a few years ago and didn't even like birds all that much. A few years ago I started paying attention and learned how to i.d. some of them.
Beautiful shots Leah! You are so lucky to get all those visitors. Our manager won't let us have feeders, she thinks that they encourages the mice to come into the apartments.
Thanks, Reb. I'll share my birdies with you any time.
Your manager has a point. Mice like bird seed.
Oh, what beautiful photos! Birds are fascinating creatures. You are excellent at photographing them! :)
Thank you so much, TL. I think the birds like to pose for me.
Cute little critter, aren't they? Great shots!
Thanks, Hilary.
I quite enjoy taking bird pics.
