A Warm Reminder

High summer in the blue Canadian Rockies.

Summer's are short enough here, and they seem even shorter in the mountains.
Last week I noticed some fresh snow on the first peaks out west. It's not here yet, but it will be soon enough.

I write better when it's cold and dark so I am looking forward to that part of it. For now, I wanted to put up a warm summer photo to remember the living season by.

There was a skiff of snow in places around here yesterday. Thanks for the reminder of summer!

You're welcome, df Bag Lady.
We're having a chinook at the moment. We don't need it yet.

Beautiful as always Leah! I don't really look forward to winter at all.

Thanks! Pretty soon it will be dark when I drive to work and dark when I drive home. *sigh*

Thanks, Reb. I find things to like about it.
Missicat, ah, yes. The drive in the dark.

OH, oh, oh, what a beautiful photo! And I am the same way: there's something about cool, dark days that make me feel warm and cozy and creative, all snug as a bug in a rug. :)

Yes, TL, that's it.That's how I feel.
Glad you liked the photo. I often think of you when I post mountain pics.

this has stuck with me...your line about writing better when it is cold and dark.

Im gonna seize that and pretend THATS why the summer was a struggle.
here's to next weekend's timechange.

Why Mizfit, of course that's the reason. How could it be anything else?
It's nice to read that my words have stayed with you. Most heartening.
Not to burst any bubbles, but hasn't the time change been put off a week?
