Photo-Finish Friday --In The Forest

I spent some quiet time alone in the Magellan Forest Preserve, Chile. The hike was a bit much for me so I rested on a walking platform while the others made the climb to the top.
They fought 60 mile an hour winds at the top to get to a view point. I was relatively sheltered and had a chance to make friends with the trees.
It was a good day.

It looks like a fine place to sit and contemplate the day.

Im embarrassed to say this but I shall:
I ONLY NOTICED YOUR HEADER QUOTE TODAY.

I adore that quote as well.
When we (if we) live as though it we our last it would be too fraught with reparations and regret and panic not the jaw dropping wonder of WOW for the first time.

Hilary, it was a wonderful spot. Good memories.

Carla, no embarrassment required. You're the only one who's said anything and I'm tickled silly that you get it. I knew you would, but I'm still tickled. That's exactly it. Keep the wonder and the joy and punt everything else.

dfLeah - I noticed your header quote the other day and thought it was perfect. (just didn't say anything.)

Love the trees, and it's always good to have a few of them as friends!

Thanks, df Bag Lady. Trees are the best.

Of course we get it--we get it so well we took it for granted. ; )

That is a nice spot. Right now I'm sitting on my balcony under/beside/above my trees.

Mary Anne in Kentucky, I knew my astute readers would, but there are some folk in the world who need that sort of thing explained.
I stand behind my ticklement.

Ooh,balcony with trees. Perfect.

Trees are great friends!
60mph winds?? They are some hardcore climbers! I, myself, would have joined you.

Missicat, my husband trained as a forester and can get through almost anything Nature offers. He said he had trouble fighting the wind.

And I'd be pleased to have you there. A woman from the second group joined me about halfway through. We talked a bit but she liked the trees and quiet nearly as much as I did.

Trees make wonderful friends. They know when to be quiet. I still feel a bit guilty about our pine nut.

Thanks, Thomma Lyn. I had a wonderful visit with them.

Hello Dawn, that's very true.
What happened to the pine nut?

You like the quiet of nature, too, I take it?

Forests have always provided a sense of calm to me, almost like being wrapped in a comfy blanket. Communing with nature is important.

That's exactly it, Barbara.
